Excellent! The most succinct description of the problem and the solution that I have seen. The human quandary we are in, the deathly danger we face won't be escaped now, but we can each individually go back to the old paths as Jeremiah 6:16 commands us and repent and seek the Lord if only for the sake of our souls. As for mankind, its fate is now sealed and principally through the school system, augmented by the media to its total destruction.
Jesus said— As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark. And they were oblivious, until the flood came and swept them all away. So will it be at the coming of the Son of Man. Matthew 24:37
Few living souls were chosen to be divinely drawn up through the narrow door of Noah’s ark (i.e. two by two—male and female) unto salvation from the deluge of God’s wrath. Just as it was in the LGBTQ days of Sodom-Gomorrah’s sudden holocaust. 2 Peter 2:6
The author notes that these things have been going on for "decades", but this only spotlights her age. She rightfully admits the problem needs to be addressed rather than ignored, but most people simply have no idea how insidious this really is.
For example, mainstream Christianity has simply walked away from the truth of the gospel which doesn't say anything about tossing out God's laws (found most usefully in the Mosaic law).
Noah didn't lead animals into the Ark "two by two", but only the "unclean" animals. This was long before the Mosaic law was codified! Luke usefully observes that this very same law was given to the Church!
"A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.
38This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto US:" Acts 7:37,38
Sadly, too many Christians have no idea how far away from the narrow path they truly are.
I agree, this goes back much further than few decades, and in reality we could simply refer everyone back to the garden scene. Sin is insidious, for certain. I am raising children in the 2000's (and still have three more to launch), so my general description covers the time period that most people age 30-50 can understand by experience. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, too!
It appears to me that you are conflating Israel in times past, with the church, the Body of Christ today. We are neither Jew nor Gentile today, but a new creature. When the believers in Christ are removed from the earth, and Daniel's 70th week begins, then the remnant of Israel will take to heart the prophetic Scriptures (all but Paul's epistles) and endure till the end.
Re: "It appears to me that you are conflating Israel in times past, with the church, the Body of Christ today."
Perhaps you didn't notice the passage I cited from Luke. Note that he clearly distinguishes " our fathers: who received the lively oracles" from "us" i.e. the church to whom he is addressing. Furthermore, there can be no sin in the body of Christ which is a bold contradiction of Christian doctrine due to the fact that Christians openly admit that they still sin. I'm not conflating Israel with the Church. I'm spotlighting the error in Christian doctrine which proclaims a "new" testament while simultaneously living under the so-called "old" testament.
Re: "We are neither Jew nor Gentile today, but a new creature."
The bible clearly points out that this new creature "in Christ" does NOT sin. "Those who walk after the spirit do NOT fulfill the lust of the flesh". Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV
Indeed. As Christ was not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel, Luke is included in that ministry, as is Matthew, Mark, John and the 1st part of Acts.
The Church, the BoC begins with Paul. We, who have trusted Christ in this dispensation of the grace of God (Eph 3:2 AV1611-KJB), have our lives "hid with Christ" (Col 3:3 AV) which is without sin, but while on earth, in the flesh, are "coming unto the knowledge of the truth", and therefore do err. In the future Kingdom of Heaven dispensation on earth, the remnant of the house of Israel and Judah will have the Holy Ghost in them and cannot sin. In the past, their sins were remitted until the "times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord"... and their sins will be blotted out (Acts 3:19). It is imperative to "rightly divide the word of truth", (2 Tim 2:15 KJV).
If you are "in Christ" and have stopped sinning... check yourself again.
Re: "As Christ was not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel, Luke is included in that ministry,"
Strawman argument. I'm not claiming he's addressing anyone other than the Church which doesn't identify as gentile or Jew. You already admitted this yourself! The point I'm making which you continue to ignore is the fact that the Mosaic law was and continues to be an integral feature of the New Testament Church. It was 'given to US'. When Luke says, "us" he is referring to no one other than the New Testament Church.
Re: "The Church, the BoC begins with Paul. We, who have trusted Christ in this dispensation of the grace of God (Eph 3:2 AV1611-KJB),"
The grace of God conforms the new creature in Christ into "the image of Christ" who is without sin.
Re: "... have our lives "hid with Christ" (Col 3:3 AV) which is without sin,"
True!!! There can be no sin hidden within Christ! Those who are truly hidden in Christ will most definitely elude detection by the damned.
Re: "... but while on earth, in the flesh, are "coming unto the knowledge of the truth", and therefore do err."
This 'but' is nowhere to be found in scripture. Where does anyone in scripture make the claim that those who are in Christ are in error????
Re: "In the future Kingdom of Heaven dispensation on earth, the remnant of the house of Israel and Judah will have the Holy Ghost in them and cannot sin."
Agreed, but if that's the case, then no one on earth today has the Spirit in them. That's the only logical conclusion that can possibly follow.
Re: " In the past, their sins were remitted until the "times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord"
Evidently, the presence of the Lord is nowhere to be found in the Church today, correct?
Re: "... and their sins will be blotted out (Acts 3:19)."
God no longer sees their sins.
Re: "It is imperative to "rightly divide the word of truth", (2 Tim 2:15 KJV)."
A claim made with little awareness of its true gravity.
Re: " If you are "in Christ" and have stopped sinning... check yourself again."
Your pointless Ad Hominem is duly noted and dismissed. Perhaps you might try to address what is presented rather than who is presenting it. Ad Hominem literally means "to address the man". Try to address the arguments presented.
Schnitzle, You're only here to argue. I am saved by grace through faith alone, without the law, according to Paul's gospel in 1 Cor 15:1-4, kjv-only and find my doctrine in Romans thru Philemon, though all Scripture is profitable, even Luke.
I follow Paul as a pattern to the BoC church, which is not Israel, because my Lord instructed me to... Phil 3:17, I Cor 4:16, I Cor 11:1.
If we can't agree on the same gospel that saves men today, you can move on.
